Fairy Tail Part 4

In a short and sweet glance at it: Fairy Tail continues to be really awesome.

Fairy Tail Part 3

By Dkun on March 17, 2012

Despite being a completely stupid show at times, Fairy Tail remains an incredibly entertaining show to watch. I’m all set to watch the next few episodes now, and I eagerly await more.

Fairy Tail Part 2

By Dkun on March 03, 2012

"By the way, the guild war ends up having a magic giant attack the Fairy Tail guild, which is totally a giant robot. I love this show some times."

Fairy Tail Part 1

I was really surprised by how much I ended up enjoying Fairy Tail and I’m definitely going to keep checking it out.

Manaka Sorceress Ver.

By Dkun on January 12, 2012

Despite some minor grips with her sculpt and the base, I think it’s a really solid figure. Kotobukiya’s attention to detail is still spot on and absolutely top notch.

Xecty Goddess of Wind statue

There is the absence of any good tease or sex appeal from this figure.

Xecty E.V.E.

Xecty E.V.E. A highly recommended figure from Kotobukiya.

Asuka Langley Soryu

By EVA_Unit_4A on December 29, 2008

In 2015, Earth is under attack from mysterious, powerful beings called Angels. Their origins and goals are unknown, but the focus of their attacks are on the post-apocalyptic, high-tech metropolis of Tokyo-3- a city designed to be a hidden fortress for the secret headquarters of the United Nations special organization NERV. What makes the Angels such an imposing threat is their ability to project and manipulate AT Fields- natural, invisible, omni-directional defensive shields which cannot be penetrated by any physical attack or weapon, including the most powerful N2 bomb. Learning of the Angels’ existence years earlier, NERV constructed a small group of advanced biomechanical robots called Evangelions to fight the Angels. However, only 14 year old children are capable of merging their minds on a near-spiritual level with the 700’-tall armored humanoids. Shinji Ikari is only one of a select handful who has been able to accomplish this. ...But he does not care. He has been push aside and ignored ever since his father abandoned him when he was four years old. And he does not care if he dies or lives, or if humanity dies or lives. Together with two female pilots in their own EVA Units- the confident, confusing redhead Asuka Langley Souryu; and the curiously silent, red-eyed, blue-haired Rei Ayanami- the abandoned son of NERV’s Supreme-Commander must face his inner demons and find the courage to go on protecting humanity while fighting to preserve what little is left of his own!

Saber

By JoshB on June 02, 2008

Figma, for those of you not in the know, is Max Factory’s answer to the Revoltech Fraulein line. They are poseable action figures but they are not just limited to female figures (but lets face it, most of them will be).

Bandai America has been distributing Japanese toys in the US since the 80s, and we thank them for that. But they haven’t all been smash hits like the Power Rangers. Back in 1999 Bandai America tried their hand at an anime theme line by putting out a series of fixed-pose final fantasy figures. These figures had ONE point of articulation, a weapon and a stand.

Sekino

Junji Ito's manga series "Uzumaki" began being published in 1998 and finished it's run the following year. However it was so popular it was quickly made into a motion picture in 2000. The story concerns a town that is cursed by spirals. People start seeing spirals, things start taking the shapes of spirals, PEOPLE start taking the shapes of spirals. It's an odd story, but one that had a tremendous impact on me when I saw the movie. Of all the Japanese horror movies to be released in the wake of The Ring, I've always thought that this one was far and away the best so it's somewhat bittersweet for me that it's been somewhat overlooked. It's bitter since I think the film deserves more attention, yet sweet since I'm glad it hasn't been remade.
